Andrew Libera

Andrew was immersed in the world of tech at an early age and began to work on global technology networking projects after being recruited by Investment Banking at Scotiabank at the age of 18, while still at the University of Toronto studying computer science. These projects took him around Europe and the USA and sparked a lifelong fascination with technology and automation. Shortly afterward he began to work on the internet, well before the days of google, while working at Nortel on their global infrastructure. After a series of ever more increasing hardware-based tech company challenges Andrew ran Canadian systems engineering, designing and supporting partners in South America and Canada for Silicon Valley start-ups until 1999. 

Throughout his business career Andrew always had a love of real estate and has owned homes in Canada from lake country to ski country, as well as oceanfront and golf course properties in the US and the Caribbean. Andrew is always happy to discuss property markets and strategy with clients. He considers himself less transaction oriented and more consultative in nature. 

As a professional mortgage broker, Andrew can provide a unique insight into the market and is a great resource to his clients. With a strong digital marketing background he oversees property marketing program design himself, including managing the digital content strategy and delivery on various key platforms. With his technology, property finance, marketing and client service backgrounds Andrew continues to be an invaluable resource to his clients.

Chris Margetts

Chris joined Engel & Volkers Vancouver Island in 2016 as the executive assistant to Scott Piercy & Jim LeBlanc. With over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry he has learned many aspects of the industry from the ground up. His responsibilities encompass the activities of four key roles: administrative manager, listing manager, transaction coordinator and marketing director.

Chris is currently enrolled in the Real Estate Licensing Program and plans on writing his exam in 2018 and will then continue as a licensed executive assistant on the team. Chris grew up in BC on both the Saanich Peninsula and the Sunshine Coast graduating from Camosun Collage with a degree in Business. He chose to work in the real estate industry because it provides a full array of experiences and challenges. Outside of work Chris enjoys the diversity of Vancouver Island living including biking, kayaking and hiking.
